For La-Z-Boy® Furniture Galleries of Arizona, “improvement” isn’t just what comes after “home”—it’s a key part of our company ethos to continuously improve and we are very honored to receive the Top Companies to Work for in Arizona recognition for the fifth consecutive year.
In our 34 years as a La-Z-Boy dealer in Arizona, one of our business’s key differentiators from other retailers is our employees, who are extremely dedicated to enhancing and improving the lives of those around them—in and out of our stores. One way our staff members do so is through an active relationship with local charity organizations. This year, we’re on pace to beat that number.
Through our CHAIRities Committee (the name nods to the company’s furniture business, of course) employees have volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House Charities, taught children water safety in partnership with the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona and organized massive pajama drives that have collected over 1,000 items for children in crisis.
The original idea for the CHAIRities Committee actually came from employees themselves, something else that makes our business unique. We look closely at every idea submitted by employees. Another program sparked by an employee idea that has come to fruition is an employee assistance fund, to help workers in times of financial crisis. It is now a 501(c)(3) organization run by our employees.
Ultimately, we want to win our clients’ business the right way, with the right team that has the best interests of our clients in mind.
